Our Partnership with RHAC: Advancing Girls’ Health, Dignity, and Education

The Reproductive Health Association of Cambodia (RHAC) is a Cambodian organization committed to improving health, well-being, and access to essential information and services for women, young people, factory workers, people with disabilities, and other vulnerable communities. RHAC works closely with government ministries, public health facilities, educational institutions, businesses, local communities, and volunteers across Cambodia.

Through its partnerships with relevant government institutions and development organizations, RHAC helps strengthen community health services, increase public awareness, and connect vulnerable groups with appropriate support. Its work combines community outreach, institutional capacity-building, public communication, digital engagement, and advocacy to help people make informed decisions about their health and well-being.

ChorogUsan for children Cambodia is the strategic funding partner of the HER AIM Project, providing an investment of USD 320,000 and strategic support for its implementation. RHAC serves as the lead implementing partner, coordinating project activities with participating schools, local authorities, educators, parents, and communities in Kampot Province.

Implemented from October 2024 to December 2026, the HER AIM Project supports the health, education, and dignity of adolescent girls by improving school WASH facilities and strengthening access to menstrual health information and resources. The project is constructing and renovating 40 gender-friendly toilets equipped with appropriate disposal facilities and reliable water sources, while also establishing dedicated school health rooms. In addition, more than 28,000 sustainable and biodegradable menstrual pouches are being distributed to support over 2,200 adolescent girls in managing their health safely and confidently and continuing their education without disruption.

Beyond infrastructure and material support, RHAC trains teachers to deliver age-appropriate health and menstrual hygiene education. The project also engages boys, male educators, parents, and school health committees to challenge stigma, encourage understanding, and create safer and more supportive school environments for adolescent girls.

Through this partnership, ChorogUsan for children Cambodia, as the project’s strategic funding partner, and RHAC, as the lead implementing partner, are working together to improve school health and WASH conditions, reduce barriers to girls’ education, and foster inclusive learning environments where adolescent girls can participate confidently and reach their full potential.
